I've always been a very creative person. From an early age, I was always involved in theater, music, art, and dance. While I loved every aspect of that, as I grew older, I kept looking for way to express my creativity. I decided to attend my local cosmetology school. I graduated at the top of my class in the Nail Technician program.
I worked at a number of salons over the years but they just never felt right to me. So, in 2003, I decided to open my own nail salon.
I LOVED this!! I finally had the chance to let my creative side flow. From designing the concept of the salon, to choosing paint colors and furniture. I was able to make my own hours and use the products that I loved instead of products that were just handed to me to use. This was the freedom that I was looking for. I loved having my own salon. It was a dream come true for me. In 2009, I decided to let it go and I sold my business. It was time for someone else to live thier dream of owning their own salon. I continued to work in the nail industry, and I still do today, but I got that itch to expand my creative wings again.
In 2018 I married the love of my life. I took an empty barn and completely transformed it into my dream wedding! It was amazingly beautiful! People are still telling me how much they enjoyed every aspect of the wedding. But then the same thing happened to me that happens to many other brides.... I got bored! There was nothing new to create!! So then I had an idea... My parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary was coming up and I was going to throw them a surprise party! I designed all of the centerpieces, the cake topper, and all the drinkware. But then when that was done.... I got bored.... again!
So I got to thinking, I have all of this glitter laying around, why don't I make myself a fancy stainless steel tumbler? So that's what I did. I taught myself step by step on how to properly make a tumbler that I would be pround to carry around and that would last forever! The more detailed I got with it, the more I realized that i was applying the same concept to tumblers as I always did to nails!
After I made my very first tumbler, I posted it to my personal Facebook page and it just exploded from there!!
Have a look at my portfolio to see what you can create for your tumbler. You want it, We Creat it!
